Shangri-La Hospitality Project: A Commission of two paintings

In early October 2016 Yi-Chun Lin was approached by Motel Creative to create two new paintings for selected guestrooms of the Shangri-La Hotel in Vancouver, Canada.

Shangri-La particularly liked two paintings of his, Scholar Rock: Crouching Dragon and My Remembrance: Lotus Landscape, and used these as a reference in defining scope of the commission.

The artworks were create to their specified size of 49″ x 26″.

The commission was completed under a tight deadline, to coincide with the completion of the Hotel’s room decoration.

It has been a pleasure working with you. I appreciate your high level of professionalism and will definitely consider your work for other projects” — Evelyn Sum, Motelier
